Where Nivendra Started and What Matters to Us

Where Nivendra started

Nivendra started from a very down-to-earth thought: tennis shouldn't feel intimidating — it should feel open, relaxed, and easy to step into. After our founder settled in Abu Dhabi, they kept hearing the same doubts from people watching the courts. "I'm probably not in good shape," someone would say. Others worried that coaches might be too strict or demanding.

One casual match with friends, plenty of laughs, and a joking comment about having a "top-court kind of day" sparked something bigger. That moment slowly grew into a clear direction: create a tennis school where people can show up exactly as they are — without pressure, fear of judgment, or the feeling that they don't belong.

From the very beginning, the goal was simple: make tennis feel comfortable before it feels technical, and enjoyable before it becomes serious.

Nivendra began in a very simple way — with a single court and just a few people who were curious enough to give tennis a try. That early group didn't resemble a classic tennis academy at all. One player had never held a racket before. Another was a working parent looking for a way to move, reset, and escape daily stress. There was also a reserved teenager who wanted to rediscover tennis without pressure and expectations.

Instead of rigid instructions or long, tiring drills, our founder chose a different path. Sessions moved at a slower pace, explanations were clear and natural, and every mistake was treated as part of the process — not something to be corrected harshly. There were smiles, plenty of missed shots, and many moments of "let's give it another go." Over time, this approach shaped what Nivendra truly stands for.

As months passed, more players joined, and our small circle grew organically. We welcomed coaches who shared the same values: patience, respect, and honest support. Our coaches don't coach from a distance. They stay close, explain movements step by step, and repeat them until they feel natural and comfortable in your body. Whether you want to improve your serve, feel more confident with your backhand, move better on court, or simply add healthy activity to your week in Abu Dhabi, training is adjusted to fit your lifestyle — not the other way around.

Nivendra's growth

Today, Nivendra feels less like a traditional academy and more like a welcoming tennis community. Children learn that missing the ball is normal and trying again is part of the fun. Adults finally start a tennis journey they have delayed for years. Friends and families come together and turn training into a weekly routine they genuinely enjoy.

For us, progress isn't measured only by technique or scores. The real success is that quiet moment when someone leaves the court thinking, "I didn't believe tennis was for me — but now it feels possible." That feeling is why we teach, and we'd be glad to help you begin your own tennis story here in Abu Dhabi.
